After thirteen years of silence since the band's last album ‘Tomorrow's Harvest’, Boards of Canada finally return. Speculation has been rife since Bleep customers received unmarked VHS tapes in the post. 'Tape 05' appeared on YouTube on April 16, manifesting as a harp melody over contextless, shimmery drone, the track later revealed as 'Father And Son'. The album showcases the Scottish electronic duo's signature blend of warm analogue synths, nostalgic sampling, and intricate production craft. Layered textures and hypnotic rhythms create an immersive listening experience that rewards repeated plays.
