Saint Etienne's ‘International’ exemplifies the band's continued exploration of cosmopolitan pop sensibilities, released through Heavenly Records. The album traverses diverse sonic territories whilst maintaining the trio's distinctive aesthetic—marrying electronic production with organic instrumentation and Sarah Cracknell's nuanced vocal delivery. Wiggs and Stanley's meticulous arrangements create an immersive sound world that balances accessibility with compositional complexity. Highlights include ‘Glad’, ‘The Go Betweens’ (feat. Nick Heyward), ‘Save It for a Rainy Day’, ‘Brand New Me’ (feat. Confidence Man), and Take Me to the Pilot. Sadly, this is to be their last release before they call time on the band. This is a perfect way to savour the band for one last time.
